Starting anew...

Princess Peepers

I'm so, so, SOOO excited to report that I'm starting on something new--it's a mg chick lit contemporary fantasy that is very fun to write.

Thank you, friends, for inspiring me to press on to my next novel. LJ really does help me as a writer. So many people think it's just a procrastination pit, but for me, it helps force me to produce. I've got to keep up with all you amazing, talented people!!!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Yeah, aren't they amazing? And so friendly too.

Maybe I'll start posting one of these days. I finally got some good writing news today--Judy Burke left a message on my answering machine. She's recommending my revised story for purchase by Highlights! Nice Christmas gift!

Thanks. I thought about waiting till I had the official acceptance letter in my hands, but who knows? :>) Coming up with interesting blog ideas is a problem. Uh-oh--jo_no_anne just tagged me for the "seven songs" meme... (And I like "weird" music!...)

Thank you!

My computer is fried, so I can't write until it's fixed. WAH!

I'm so glad to hear you've started on something new. NEW just invigorates, doesn't it?

I've been writing my last WIP for 5 YEARS!!! Of course, other stuff got in the way and I had to do a lot of research for it, so it took a while. This one is different. YAY! Minimal research because I'm living with 14 and 13 year old girls. HEE!

NEW totally invigorates and ROCKS! I spent TEN years on one WIP (it was personal to me), meanwhile writing about five other books. It was last year at this precise time that I penned "The End" to that long long long WIP. It went off to agent a couple of months ago and, hopefully, will soon be making the editorial rounds. But whatever happens, it is done, and it meant a lot to me to write it--and FINISH IT!
Here's to NEW in the New Year! XO Candie

Thank you! It's so exciting to be starting on something that could very well get totally finished, critiqued and perfected within the year. Wow. I always do these epic tome. (I have another idea for a huge epic sci fi thing, but I need a break. HA!)

Eek! I hope you didn't read that drivel. It's like seeing me in my underwear with all my cellulite showing. *gasp* I'll send you a better version when I get five chapters done. :-)
